With the entry into force of the Gesetz zum Schutz von Müttern bei der Arbeit, in der Ausbildung und im Studium (Mutterschutzgesetz - MuSchG) on January 1, 2018, the special protective regulations of this law now also apply to students at Freie Universität Berlin. The aim of the law is to prevent health hazards for mother and child, such as hazardous substances, pathogens, radiation, risk of accidents or particular physical strain.

Please notify the central Student Records and Registration Office of the FU Berlin with a corresponding "notification of pregnancy or breastfeeding for female students". This notification is also necessary if preferential registration for courses is desired.
