Are you interested in writing a dissertation in food or meat hygiene?

After successfully completing a degree in veterinary medicine or other natural sciences, you have the opportunity to do a doctorate at our institute. Writing a doctoral thesis gives you the opportunity to deepen your scientific work and develop your professional skills.

With us you have the opportunity to obtain a doctorate (Dr. vet. med. or Dr. rer. nat.) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

If you decide to do a PhD, you will take part in a structured doctoral program at the Dahlem Research School Biomedical Sciences (usually lasting 3 years).

For some of our doctoral students, this opens up the possibility of more in-depth post-doctoral work at the Institute as well as qualification for an academic career.
