Postgraduate Studies in International Animal Health
Up 2015 it was the unit International Animal Health which executed all international postgraduate training programmes at the Department of Veterinary Medicine
Apart from postgraduate academic training, International Animal Health was involved in various collaborations and ongoing projects with partners all over the world like:
- ILRI (International Livestock Research Institute) and BMZ (Federal Ministry of Development Cooperation) Project “Safe Food – Fair Food” for Africa (http://safefoodfairfood.wordpress.com/)
- Veterinaires Sans Frontieres (VSF) Germany (Tierärzte Ohne Grenzen http://www.vsfg.org/) with its projects in Eastern Africa (Southern Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, Somaliland, Puntland, Kenya)
- EU and GIZ funded projects in the field of animal health and production in Africa (a.o. Sudan).
