This year's VIA (study group Veterinary Immunology) Meeting took place from July 3-5, 2024 in Jena (Germany) and two of our PhD students were awarded for their contributions to the conference:

Alexandra Laubschat is the winner of the best oral presentation award with her talk about "The impact of infection with the tissue-invasive intestinal nematode Ascaris suum on hepatic antiviral immunity", and

Robert M. Mugo was awarded the poster prize for his poster "Acute Ascaris infection impairs effector functions of natural killer cells in single and Salmonella co-infected pigs".
